  • What is the difference between a personal travel planner and a travel agent?
    A travel agent is typically restricted to which hotels, tour groups and rental agencies they can book for their clients based on the agency or company they work for. A personal travel planner (Travel with Theresa) is an independent agent that has the ability to secure/book any and every accommodation that best suits your individual needs. Sure, we do have preferred vendors we like to work with, but we are here to create your one-of-a-kind vacation, not to cater to our vendors needs. ​ They each have their own benefits but if you want a vacation that is tailored specifically to your individual preferences, then Travel with Theresa is right for you.
  • How does it work?
    Fill out this form hereto let us know a little more about your travel and we will reach out to set up a complimentary 15-minute phone call to discuss your options further. Once you’ve decided to enlist our help in planning/booking your next vacation, we will set up a 30-60 minute call where we can meet and discuss the details of your trip more in-depth. On this call, we will cover the specifics; dates, budget, wants/must do’s, dining preferences, etc. After this, Travel with Theresa will get to work on creating and planning a custom itinerary for you. Once all of the R&D takes place, we will schedule at time to go over the findings and confirm bookings. Next? Kick up your feet and relax knowing that your dream vacation is about to happen.
  • Do you book flights?
    Not at this time. We can assist with recommendations on which airline to use/times to travel but with how quickly flights can change and prices fluctuate, your best bet is to book on your own. If booking flights is necessary in us planning your travel, we can discuss what the fee will be.
  • Do you book hotels, cars, tours, etc?
    Of course! Unlike flights, these types of bookings are more constant and with Travel with Theresa being a licensed travel agent, it will ensure you get the best price possible.
  • What if something you booked for me gets cancelled?
    Although rare, it still happens. The moment we are informed that something we booked for you is cancelled, you will be notified and a refund issued by that company for the initial booking. We can attempt to make other accommodations, however, Travel with Theresa is not responsible for these cancellations and so, travel insurance is highly recommended.
  • I’ve already done some of the research or planned part of the trip myself – can you help with only a part/portion of it?
    Absolutely. We offer ala carte packages/services to tailor to your needs. More details about our offerings here.
  • What destinations do you cover?
    Anywhere and everywhere. You name it, we will plan it.
  • How much is this going to cost?
    A 15-minute phone call with us to decide if a personal travel agent is the best option for you is free of charge. However, if you decide to have us plan your worry-free dream vacation and this is your first time traveling with us, we do require full payment up front. Unfortunately there are many who take our hard work and planning and book their travel on their own. A 50/50 schedule can be discussed for return travelers.
